Drained but feeling good about it.

So it's been a busy week, hence the lack of updating since Sunday. Monday was my first day of class and i was very relieved to see that bit was exactly what i was hoping for. The instructors are very motivated and appear to seriously care about the knowledge of their students. So far it has been a lot of terminology and introduction to basics as far as human anatomy and motion.  The first 3 1/2 hours are theory, which takes place in your typical classroom setting. The remaining two hours after lunch are practical application where we break off in partners and take turns working as trainer and client. We won't be getting into it too seriously until about week 3 after we've covered how to formulate a workout and a long term plan for a client. We were evaluated and trained today by the students already halfway through the course however. It gives them actual experience dealing with a complete stranger as a client and allows us to see what we will be learning shortly and how we are to conduct ourselves by the courses teachings. It was a good session that seemed to go by in no time at all. The trainer i had wrote up a workout that left me feeling like i'd gotten my ass kicked afterwards. I am definately looking forward to the point where i will be doing training on my own and i can go home. Already missing MD and everyone from it a lot.

Universal!

So today was pretty awesome. Mary and I spent the whole day at Universal Studios. We got there at noon and didn't leave till it closed at 9. Did just about everything on the studio side and then hopped over to the islands of adventure until it closed. The inner dork in me screamed out when i saw the new Harry Potter section of the park. It wasn't that it was Harry Potter, it was the insane architecture and layout. Why dont we have cool looking old buildings like that anymore?! Hell with modern design! I want castles for town halls and old wooden buildings with fancy architecture. I blame the Trump! O well. Only downside to the whole day was that the Harry Potter ride broke down right as we got to the end of the line for it. However the Butterbeer more than made up for it! was almost like a cream soda float. Healthy right? The training starts tomorrow my friends. Enjoying my last bit of junk food this weekend. I leave you all again for i must find a job now. Thinkin a warehouse or moving company. Just something to keep me moving while at work. Keep in touch everyone, the working out starts in the morning.

Were gonna start off brief here

So as I'm still a bit drained from the 17 hour car trip yesterday after all breaks and side trips were included, I'm gonna keep this brief. After finally arriving at 3:30 last night and having a moment of fear that i wasn't going to be able to check into my place until 7 (there would've been a temper tantrum!), Mary and I got checked in and passed right out until 10 this morning. We left to find my school around 11, buuuuuuut, after having some difficulty with that a series of "lets go here" moments led us to drive by Universal Studios and see all kinds of cool places near it instead. We didn't end up finding the school until on the way home around lets say 6. So day 1 accomplished. I've found my school. I've found a place to acquire foodstuffs and toiletries (very important people!). And most importantly, I've found the Chipotle and Jersey Mike's! Cant get buff without the energy and comfort that comes with the best burrito and sub you can find! So thats it for tonight. Tomorrow is off to Universal Studios with the old lady. Hope everyone is doing well and that its just as nice back home as it is here. Talk to ya all on the morrow!
